Join RCGW
If you are passionate about literacy, you should join the Reading Council of Greater Winnipeg. Since 1956, we have been committed to the promotion of literacy in the City of Winnipeg and surrounding area. We provide professional development for educators, share resources and ideas on our website, celebrate I Love to Read month, promote literacy in the community, honour literacy leaders and up-and-coming teacher candidates, and support literacy projects.

Joining RCGW gives you automatic membership in the Manitoba Reading Association (MRA) and discounted rates at all MRA-affiliated events, including the biennial Adolescent Literacy Summit. You also receive member rates for all our events. Furthermore, you become part of a network of literacy leaders and experts.

- Associate Membership (Teacher Candidates, Educational Assistants): $10.00
Join with MTS PD DayYou can join or renew your RCGW membership when you register for our MTS PD Day event. This is the easiest way to ensure you continue to receive membership benefits. Memberships are current for the school year (September to August).

We invite you to join the International Literacy Association (ILA). As the champion of a vibrant community of literacy professionals and activists, ILA recognizes the importance of working together to expand the reach of literacy around the world and amplify the impact of each other’s efforts.
Membership includes access to Literacy Today, a magazine that explores the latest and greatest in literacy. You can also access ILA E-ssentials and ILA Bridges, which include easy-to-implement ideas, units, and lesson plans. You also receive a discount to the ILA journals: The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, and Reading Research Quarterly.
